Opener Installation
Customer Issue: Mr. Goodman wanted a new garage door opener that would move quietly for his recently built garage.
Our Solution: Our experts suggested a Linear LSO50 model garage door opener for its noise reduction technology, such as foam to dampen sound, and mounting brackets made to isolate vibrations. We installed in a belt drive rail for Mr. Goodman, then slid the new opener onto it and connected it. Our professionals also set up the wall pad and remote controls and adjusted the open and close limits.
Roller Replacement
Customer Issue: Grinding and screeching sounds during garage door operation, as well as listing, clued the customer into the problem.
Our Solution: Our team took the garage door off its tracks manually, took out the broken roller, and then checked the others for the warning signs of similar failure. They replaced two more rollers before oiling the tracks and lifting the door back onto the tracks for reconnection and testing.
Garage Door Troubleshooting
Customer Issue: Bent tracks.
Our Solution: After inspecting the system and testing the door for ourselves, we determined that the root of the problem was that the track was bent and was causing the door to struggle when it moved. We repaired the track by smoothing it out.
Spring Replacement
Customer Issue: Broken torsion spring.
Our Solution: First we disconnected the opener and made sure no other part was damaged. Then we carefully removed the damaged component and installed a new spring in its place. Before leaving, we made sure the door was able to open and close safely and evenly.
Sensor Alignment
Customer Issue: Door keeps reversing.
Our Solution: The problem became obvious right away, as a quick look made it clear that the safety sensors had become misaligned. After we realigned them we tried closing the door again and had no issues. We then made sure the sensors did force the door to reverse when something was actually blocking its path, and advised the customer to regularly perform a similar test to make sure their system remains safe to use.
Opener Replacement
Customer Issue: Old opener won't work anymore.
Our Solution: We recommended this customer get the Chaimberlain B750 Belt-Drive opener model, which is smartphone controlled and extremely quiet. After she agreed, we removed her old opener, installed the new unit and made sure it was fully functional.
